Penerapan Scaffolding sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas VIII pada Materi Lingkaran
Abstract
The aim of this research is to enhance students' learning outcomes by applying scaffolding in the learning activities Mathematics of material Circles. This research is a type of Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study were 35 students consisting of 17 male students and 18 female students with learning outcomes as the object of research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, evaluation observation and reflection, with the implementation of two meetings in each cycle. The data collection technique uses a learning outcome test which is then analyzed descriptively quantitatively to find out the classification of learning outcomes. The indicator of success in this research is the enhancement in student learning outcomes in each cycle, namely meeting the KKM of 75 and meeting 75% classical completeness. This study obtained the results of an improvement in student learning outcomes from previously in Cycle I categorized as less with an average value of student learning outcomes of 70.7 and 54% classical completeness, while in Cycle II it became a good category with an average of 83.3 and 77% classical completeness. Therefore, the implementation of scaffolding can foster mathematics learning outcomes.
