Evaluation of the Implementation of the Computer Based National Assessment in Remote Elementary Schools

Abstract

Starting from the final evaluation system for basic and secondary education. The implementation of the final stage of evaluation has problems that continue to grow. Especially since Indonesia was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic (outbreak) the problem required that learning and teaching activities be carried out online. Starting in 2020, the government through the Ministry of Education and Culture abolished the national exam and replaced it with a Computer-Based National Assessment. The National Assessment aims as a sign of a change in the paradigm of the assessment of basic and secondary education. The research conducted at SDN Remo, a public elementary school located in a remote area, aims to find out how to evaluate the implementation of ANBK. The research was carried out by presenting the rules of a qualitative descriptive approach through the instruments of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of ANBK at SDN Remo had internet signal barriers, facilities and infrastructure, and the low level of student understanding of ANBK. The results of observations showed that students had never used a laptop, operated, and used a mouse during ANBK implementation. The results of the ANBK report show that the literacy and numeracy aspects of students have reached the minimum competency limit, while the character aspect has developed. In carrying out the research, researchers saw and experienced firsthand the process of implementing ANBK at SDN Remo which took place in November 2021.

SUKMA AYU KHARISMAWATI, lahir di Jakarta tahun 1988. Menyelesaikan pendidikan dasar hingga menengah (tahun 1994-2006) di Kota Nganjuk, Jawa Timur.  Tahun 2012  mengikuti Program SM3T (Sarjana Mendidik di Daerah Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal) dari Kemendikbud ditempatkan di SMPN 7 Satap Tamako, Kecamatan Tamako, Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe, Sulawesi Utara dan tahun 2017 mulai bekerja sebagai abdi negara di SDN Remo, Kecamatan Paramasan, Kabupaten Banjar, Kalimantan Selatan.
