Menumbuhkan Budaya Literasi dengan School Strategic Discussion (SSD)
Abstract
Literacy culture carried out in schools has not shown the function of the school as a learning organization that seeks to make all entities become skilled in reading or critical thinking to support them as lifelong learners. This Best Practice aims to describe School Strategic Discussion (SSD) in fostering literacy culture in SD Negeri Dukuh. The procedure of action carried out by the author in the activity of realizing the culture of literacy through School Strategic Discussion (SSD) involving all educational entities such as the principal, teachers, employees, school committees, parents of students, and community leaders. The discussion steps that are listed by the author are school mapping, conditions analysis, alternative solutions, improvement steps, and mutual commitment. SSD results made can foster literacy culture. The impact of the implementation of SSD is that school residents use the time to read in the reading and library corners, the increase in achievements achieved by students, teachers, and schools, and the number of library visitors has increased. With School Strategic Discussion (SSD) held at SD Negeri Dukuh can foster literacy culture.
