Kesesuaian Kompetensi Profesional Guru Kecantikan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan dengan Standar Industri di Malang: Studi Kualitatif

Abstrak

Perkembangan pesat industri kecantikan menuntut lembaga pendidikan vokasi, khususnya Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Kecantikan, untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang tidak hanya terampil secara teknis tetapi juga mampu beradaptasi dengan dinamika pasar kerja. Namun, banyak lulusan sekolah kejuruan dianggap belum siap bekerja, menimbulkan pertanyaan tentang relevansi kurikulum, kompetensi guru, dan kesesuaian dengan kebutuhan industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi standar kurikulum Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Kecantikan di Malang Raya, menilai kompetensi profesional guru, dan mengeksplorasi harapan industri terhadap lulusan kejuruan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum masih berfokus pada teknik dasar dan belum mengintegrasikan tren makeup modern, manajemen usaha kecil, dan penggunaan media digital. Kompetensi guru juga masih kurang optimal akibat keterbatasan pelatihan industri, sehingga metode pengajaran menjadi konvensional dan kurang relevan dengan konteks. Industri mengharapkan lulusan yang siap kerja, komunikatif, dan mampu mempromosikan layanan secara mandiri. Kesenjangan antara pembelajaran di sekolah dan praktik di lapangan menyoroti perlunya kolaborasi yang lebih erat antara sekolah dan dunia kerja. Implikasi temuan ini menekankan pentingnya pembaruan kurikulum, peningkatan kapasitas guru melalui pelatihan industri, dan penguatan Teaching Factories untuk meningkatkan daya saing lulusan.
