Abstract
Innovation in the world of Education is needed as an effort to improve the quality of education. There are many ways that can be done in an effort to innovate education, one of which is to transition learning from a teacher-based center to a student center. The purpose of this study is to analyze the transition of teacher center learning to student center in an independent curriculum in an effort to strengthen students' technological literacy in elementary schools. This research uses a qualitative research approach with field research methods. Data in this study were collected through interviews and observation. The research informant selection technique uses purposive sampling techniques. The data analysts used in this study use thematic data analysts with stages of understanding data, coding data, determining themes and data visualization. Student center-based learning has significant advantages over teacher center-based learning, student-centered learning will make students active and independent in learning so that it will affect the strengthening of students' technological literacy. This is because student-centered learning is very relevant if integrated with technology. However, there are several inhibiting factors encountered in efforts to implement student center-based learning, namely large class sizes, class management challenges and different student learning styles, so that these inhibiting factors can be used as evaluation material for improving the application of student center-based learning.
