Implementasi Pembelajaran IPS Berbasis Kearifan Lokal “Manurih Gatah” melalui Teori Belajar Humanistik bagi Siswa Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
This study aims to explore the application of humanistic learning theory in relation to local wisdom, especially through the introduction of the function of manurih gatah, as a means of humanizing individuals. The efficacy of educational endeavors depends on students' understanding of their environment and personal identity. In the learning process, students are expected to gradually achieve proficient self-actualization. The research was conducted at Remo Elementary School which is located in Remo Village, Paramasan District, Banjar Regency. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative research. This study used various data collection techniques, including observation and interviews. The study findings show that the application of humanistic learning theory, coupled with the incorporation of local wisdom in the teaching process, can significantly increase students' learning motivation. The IPS learning approach that utilizes local wisdom as a source of learning is proven to foster contextual learning and prioritizes the ability to utilize the potential of local wisdom. Incorporating local wisdom values into IPS learning is realized by instilling ethical, moral, and religious values through example, advice, and guidance. This is complemented by Strengthening Character Education (PPK) based on school culture.
