Increasing the Activity and Learning Outcomes of Students in the Unit Price of Construction Work through PBL Assisted by Video Tutorials
Abstract
During the Covid-19 pandemic, learning was carried out remotely, subject matter was uploaded in the Teams class, then delivered using the lecture method through online meetings. In this way, the activeness and learning outcomes of students are still low. This research aims to describe the process of increasing student activity and learning outcomes, with the target of achieving learning outcomes of 85% achieving a KKM score of 70 and 70% of students having activity in the good category. This research is a classroom action research conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Klaten in class XI DPIBB and takes place in 2 cycles. Data on learning outcomes were obtained from written tests, while data on student activity were obtained from questionnaires and observations. To obtain these data, the author uses various online media, namely google forms, whatsapp groups, email, teams and youtube channel. The subject matter is packaged in a video tutorials and uploaded on the YouTube channel, then the link is given to students. Data validation used content validation which was carried out through questionnaire verification and written test questions verification by fellow teachers. The data that has been obtained were analyzed using a quantitative descriptive technique that compares the initial conditions with the conditions after the action. The results of the research: (1) After the action, students who had activity in the good category were 77,7%, and the percentage increase in student activity is 64.44%. (2) After the action, 86.11% of students can achieve the KKM score and the average percentage of learning outcomes is 9.57%. (3) Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by video tutorials can increase student activity and learning outcomes.
