Analisis Minat Belajar Peserta Didik terhadap Pembelajaran Matematika di Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
This study aims to describe the mathematics learning interest of sixth-grade students at SDN Saripin. Learning interest is an important factor that influences the success of the learning process, especially in mathematics, which is often considered difficult by students. This study employed a descriptive quantitative method with data collection through questionnaire distribution to 37 sixth-grade students. (1) feeling of pleasure, (2) attention, (3) interest, and (4) involvement. The collected data were analysed using validity and reliability tests, then processed to determine the percentage of students' learning interest for each indicator. The results showed that the mathematics learning interest of sixth-grade students at SDN Saripin was in the moderate category with an overall percentage of 75.26%. In detail, the feelings of pleasure indicator obtained a score of 73.24% (moderate criteria), the attention indicator reached 79.72% (very high criteria), the interest indicator scored 70.94% (moderate criteria), and the involvement indicator showed a percentage of 77.16% (moderate criteria). Interview results with teachers and classroom observations indicated that the use of learning media and varied methods can increase students' enthusiasm for mathematics. This study recommends that teachers continue to develop innovations in mathematics learning to enhance students' learning interest.
