Analisis Gaya Belajar Siswa dalam Mengoptimalkan Pemahaman Siswa: Studi Deskriptif di SD Negeri Klender 10
Abstract
Learning styles play an important role in helping students understand and process information. The implication for the learning process is to help and maximize pupils' learning potential. This study aimed to describe and analyze the learning styles of students at SD Negeri Klender 10. The research approach used was descriptive quantitative with a survey method using a questionnaire. The questionnaire was made based on Neil Flemming's VARK theory. The subjects in the study were 30 students from grades III and IV who were selected using census sampling. The results showed that 30 students had diverse learning styles. It was found that the percentages of each learning type were as follows: 20% visual (6 students), 7% auditory (2 students), 3% read/write (1 student), and 40% kinesthetic (12 students). It was followed by multimodal learning styles including visual kinesthetic 27% (8 students), and read/write kinesthetic 3% (1 student). Based on the results of the category analysis, each learning style was categorized as high or moderately high. The high category included read/write, kinesthetic, and multimodal learning styles (visual and read/write kinesthetic) with values > 68,0. The category was quite high for auditory learning styles with a value of 55,70 < x ≤ 68,0. Thus, it is important for teachers to understand students' characteristics according to their learning styles and parents can provide support by accompanying and developing children's potential through their learning styles.
