Analisis Penyebab Tindakan Bullying dengan Pendidikan Karakter Cinta Damai di Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
Bullying is an act of violence committed by one person to another person aimed at believing the person both physical and non-physical and carried out repeatedly. Character education has been implemented in educational institutions since 2010. This study aims to determine the factors that cause bullying to occur with character education in elementary schools. This research uses a type of descriptive qualitative research and is located in 2 elementary schools in Lamongan. The subjects in this study were grade 5 students, grade 5 teachers, parents of grade 5 students, and also principals of elementary schools studied. This study used observational data collection techniques, questionnaires, and interviews while the data analysis techniques used were interactive models of Miles, Huberman, & Saldana. To check the validity of the data taken, a triangulation method technique is used. The results obtained in this study were 39.43% of students experienced verbal bullying, 8.86% physical bullying, and 5.71% experienced relational bullying. Factors that cause someone to commit bullying are obtained from family factors, parenting, and social environment. Character education is associated with bullying. Through character education, students are able to know good and bad things.
