Abstract

This research is aimed to describe scientific writing skills based on process approach and implications of character education on students class XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Bambanglipuro. The method used a descriptive qualitative. The research subject is students class XI Mathematics 1 during the learning scientific work. Research procedures were raised the issue, raised research questions, gather relevant data, perform data analysis, and answer research questions. Data collection techniques including observation, interview, and image documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study are learning to write scientific papers can be used as a means of implementation of character education. This was achieved on the activities of the classroom learning by using a process approach. Character values ​​that can be gained from learning to write scientific papers with the process approach is honest, critical, creative, innovative, hard working, independent, careful, responsibility, discipline, rigorous, open, tolerant, cooperative, confident, courageous and mandate. By knowing how to write scientific papers correctly and embedded values ​​of good character, then it can cope with acts of plagiarism. Character values ​​that can be gained from learning to write scientific papers with the process approach is honest, critical, creative, innovative, hard working, independent, careful, responsibility, discipline, rigorous, open, tolerant, cooperative, confident, courageous and mandate. By knowing how to write scientific papers correctly and embedded values ​​of good character, then it can cope with acts of plagiarism.
